Island Style Works!
“These islands represent all that we are and all that we hope to be.” J.F. Kennedy
Highlights

It is Glenn Furuya’s sincere belief, based on 35 years of experience and validation through empirical research, that “island style” is a unique and distinctive way of leading and serving that is inherent in island cultures and other intimate communities. Based on a three-way blend of Eastern humility, Western drive and Polynesian hospitality “Island Style Works!” creates a unique, cultural learning experience that will leave participants feeling uplifted and inspired to do their very best.
Who should attend?
“Island Style Works!” is for anyone seeking to understand, unite and apply the individual and cultural differences that exist among each other and our communities to boost individual performance and improve teamwork, service and leadership. You don’t need to live on an island to practice “island style.”
What will I learn?
During this half-day workshop, participants will discover the true essence of what it means to be “island” and how applying the following eight “island style” principles can lead to world-class service, teamwork and leadership:
Three-way cultural blend Spirit of Aloha Giving Spirit Teiiam Humility Resourcefulness Will and Strength Lokahi
