What will participants learn?
Instructed by Glenn Furuya, using a unique method called "graphic facilitation," participants will:
1. Gain an understanding of your customer and his needs
There are two basic questions to ask to create organizational success: Who is the customer? What does the customer need? If an organization is to thrive long-term, these questions need continual scrutiny.
2. Focus on a clear and compelling “cause”
Although carefully worded, most mission statements are ineffective. The secret is to craft a simple, memorable and engaging focus with the fewest possible words or through a evocative metaphor. What is your organization’s core purpose and how do you make it sticky?
3. Craft an inspiring stretch goal
When President John Kennedy challenged the nation to “land a man on the moon and return him safely to earth…before this decade is out,” he gave us a BHAG or Big Hairy Audacious Goal. What is your organizations stretching toward?
4. Build an incomparable point of distinction and brand
An organization that attracts customers and tops its competition is one that stands apart from the crowd. It offers a one-of-a-kind proposition that competitors cannot deliver. What is this point for you?
5. Identify pivotal “bifurcations”
A bifurcation is an organizational strategy designed to meet the changing needs of your customers. What are the critical transformations required to thrive in this world of constant change?
